Ford has introduced the all-new 2025 Expedition lineup, showcasing a full redesign aimed at improving versatility, technology, and capability for families. The fifth-generation Expedition offers both standard-wheelbase and extended-length Expedition MAX variants, featuring a range of upgrades designed to enhance the driving and passenger experience.
New Design and Cargo Management
The first thing to notice about the new 2025 Ford Expedition is its redesigned exterior appearance which blends modernity and tradition for an elegant and easily recognizable result. In addition to the exterior, the interior has also been completely overhauled, taking inspiration from recent Lincoln models such as the Nautilus and Navigator for a more upscale look.
The 2025 Ford Expedition boasts a modern interior design with increased cargo storage and improved connectivity access. A standout feature is the new Ford Split Gate, which combines a traditional SUV liftgate with a pickup truck tailgate for enhanced cargo management. The lower quarter of the gate folds down, supporting up to 500 pounds and offering an available seatback that can transform into a serving table.
Advanced Technology and Connectivity
At the heart of the new 2025 Expedition is the Ford Digital Experience, featuring a 24-inch panoramic display that replaces the traditional gauge cluster. This system allows for greater personalization and connectivity, including driver-specific profiles and integration of favourite apps.
The Expedition also introduces the Ford Connectivity Package, which includes a Wi-Fi hotspot capable of connecting up to 10 devices, access to Google Play apps, and embedded Google Maps. Voice control is enhanced with both Google Assistant and Alexa Built-in, allowing for hands-free operation of various vehicle functions.
Performance and Capability
The standard 3.5-litre EcoBoost V6 engine delivers 400 horsepower and 480 pound-feet of torque in most models. A High Output version, standard in the new TREMOR model and available for Platinum, increases output to 440 horsepower and 510 pound-feet of torque.
For off-road enthusiasts, the first-ever Expedition TREMOR model offers enhanced capabilities, including 10.6-inch ground clearance, 33-inch all-terrain tires, and additional underbody protection.
Towing capacity ranges up to 7,000 pounds without a load-levelling bar, and up to 9,600 pounds with a weight-distributing hitch. New features like Pro Trailer Hitch Assist and Pro Trailer Backup Assist aim to simplify the towing experience.
The 2025 Ford Expedition lineup, including Active, Platinum, King Ranch, and TREMOR models, will be available for ordering starting October 24, with deliveries expected to begin in Spring 2025. For more information and to explore the new Expedition's features in detail, visit our dealership.
